All updates:
(May 7, 2025) Planting update -- We recently did some projects on the property to protect it from marauding deer - finally allowing us to plant this tree in the ground. It has been in a greenhouse since we brought it home over a year ago, but we were able to take it out about a month ago and finally plant it in the ground on 5/6/25. It's against a south-facing wall with a slight overhang above. There is a little sunburn on the tree from right after it's move out of the greenhouse. The location will be a little more protected, and a little drier than other areas in the yard - we're looking forward to seeing what this summer brings - and how it does this coming winter.
(December 8, 2023) Update -- Was in greenhouse for 28°F, but suffered no damage at 30°F previously.
