(May 1, 2024) Post winter report -- Initial planting area was a failure due to excavation requirements to repair plumbing and water lines. In ground planting would have been delayed until fall, so it remained potted. It was up potted and over winter in an unheated hoop house this winter. There are still frosts potentially , but in the next few weeks it will be transplanted outside for the summer to establish prior to next winter. It is past bloom. It is dropping its old leaves and is flushed with new growth. It’s quite beautiful at the moment.
