This tree does not have any grafts on it.

(September 18, 2025) Summer 2025 update -- Your wouldn't know the poor thing has been chewed almost to the ground a year ago. New branches are growing well. A deer nipped the top off one of the new branches, which has since formed a lot of side shoots. Deer don't seem to like the taste much which is fantastic. Fertilized with nitrogen in late spring. Older leaves on this one also have whatever speckled damage all my other avocados have.

(November 19, 2024) Fall update, Nov 18 2024 -- It looks so good! This little tree seems to be recovering well from whatever rodent tried to chop it down last year. It sent up multiple shoots. I should probably figure out how & when to prune avocados at some point

(July 6, 2024) Photo update, 5/22/24 -- It survived being cut off near the base AND the winter!! It's leafing out along the trunk and possibly from the roots as well!! What a fighter! :D

(February 10, 2024) Freeze damage 2/10/24 -- Surrounded tree with a "wall 'o water" and covered with row cover before the hard frost came through. We got down to at least 24* here. It's not looking great

(February 10, 2024) Pre-deep-freeze winter photos (12/22/23) -- No new issues; no new leaves either after being chewed nearly to the ground.

(December 22, 2023) Rodent disaster :'( Sept 29, 2023 -- Some stupid rodent (a rabbit maybe?) has decapitated my beautiful healthy #134. It left ONE sunburned leaf on the sad little stump. I pruned it back and surrounded both trees with some chicken wire fencing. Will try rooting cuttings of the seedling.

(December 22, 2023) Sept. 15, 2023 update -- Noticed something had taken some nibbles of avocado leaves. (I often have deer and rabbits chewing up other plants, could be one of those?) Apparently it wasn't very tasty
