Reason for update: Pre-winter report

This tree, planted in our high tunnel, has been putting out serious growth in the later half of the growing season. It has more than tripled in size, I would say. So far, it is withstanding 5 nights of 24-27° temps with minimal to moderate frost damage, really relegated to the new leaves/leaf tips of the topmost leaves. It is withstanding the cold far better than I expected, and far better than other, reputedly hardier, plants I’ve grown here.
